LexPreLaw Preliminary Application

Applications are being accepted for the 2024 LexPreLaw program.

Before beginning the application, please view the eligibility requirements and information about the application process and participant groups here. We also recommend viewing the Informational Webinar, which provides a step-by-step review of application components. Applications that do not meet minimum eligibility requirements will not be reviewed.

Applying to LexPreLaw is a two-part process:

  • The link below takes you to the Preliminary Application where you will provide your email address, general information about your family and academic background, program eligibility, and contact information for 2-3 recommenders. Preliminary Applications are reviewed by program staff on a rolling basis, generally within three business days of submission.
  • If you meet the preliminary eligibility criteria, you will be emailed a link to submit the Final Application. In the Final Application, you will be required to upload your academic transcript and LSAT score report. Upon your submission of the Final Application, each recommender listed in your Preliminary Application will be emailed a link to the Recommender Assessment form. At least two must be submitted on your behalf to complete your Final Application.

LexPreLaw participants are selected on a first-come, first-selected basis. The earlier you submit all required application materials (including the Final Application and Recommender Assessments), the better your chances of being selected. Prior LexPreLaw participants who complete the two-part application process will be placed in line for selection starting June 1, 2024.

For the Preliminary Application, you will need:

  • Basic information regarding your age, race, ethnicity, gender identity, and family background
  • Your cumulative undergraduate GPA (from the college/university that awarded or will award your bachelor’s degree)
  • Your highest LSAT score and score percentile
  • The amount of your latest Pell Grant award and the term in which you received it (if claiming such award)
  • An email address that you check regularly and can receive LexPreLaw information
  • The names and email addresses of 2-3 recommenders
