About our Wild Wild West Camp:

Howdy partner! Come and experience the Wild Wild West at Cub Scout Day Camp this summer! Join fellow Scouts at "Monterey Gulch", your Camp HQ located at the Presidio of Monterey Scout House. Learn skills, crafts, and games that were part of life in the Wild West and finish on Friday with a special campfire get together! 

It's gonna be a grand ol' time!

Activities Offered:

  • Archery, BB guns, slingshots- Shooting sports out on the range!
  • Arts & Crafts - Things the kids on the Frontier did!
  • STEM - Use STEM to help you survive the Wild West!
  • Scout Skills - Learn things that help you care of yourself and others!
  • Games - Every kid in history playes games, ESPECIALLY in the Wild West!
  • Daily Flag Ceremonies - Learn about the US flag ceremony and cermonies!
  • Friday Campfire Program - Show everyone what you've done and learned!

Times: 8:00 AM - 3:30 PM
Cost: $250 (Early Bird Discount of $200 before 6/1/2022 date). Full-week volunteers are eligible for full compensation for one camper. For details, contact Darcy Fowler, Camp Director

Join the Monterey Day Camp Posse!
Our camps are only possible thanks to our amazing teams of volunteers staff. We need many adult helpers as possible, but especially those who are willing to come all week to be  with their Scouts as a Den Leader. Den Leaders have fun assisting a group of 10 or fewer Scouts during the week much like a Pack's Den Leader. All programing is provided for you!
AS a thank you for your commiment, Den Leaders/Staff can receive from 50%-100% off camp for one Scout, as well as a super cool shirt. We wouild love to have you join our posse to make the experience extra special for your Scout.

Covid Considerations
Our number one priority this summer is the safety of our Scouts, staff, and volunteers. We are closely following State and County guidelines and will adhere to the current rules to keep us all safe.

Participant Information

 
Tigers require 1:1 supervision by parent, or guardian, or qualified adult for the duration of camp. A Tiger is a Cub Scout entering the first grade in the fall.
One T-Shirt for each youth is provided for Camp. Additional T-Shirts are available for $10 for adults and youth.

Our camps are only possible thanks to our amazing team of volunteer staff putting it on. We need many adult helpers who are able to come all week to be with their Scouts as a den assistant. Den assistant have fun assisting a group of 12 or fewer Scouts during the week much like a Pack's den leader. 
 
As a thank you, den assistants/staff can receive 50%-100% off camp for one Scout and a staff shirt. We would love to have you on our staff to help out and make the experience extra special for your Scout.

Required Forms

Health Form AB is required for each person at camp when they are onsite longer than one hour. This includes participants, staff, and volunteers.

Cancellations/Transfers
If there are any cancellations, please notify the Cub Camp Team at cubcamp@svmbc.org at least 14 days prior to the committed date. All refunds/transfers are subject to a 25% cancellation fee.
 
There are no refunds 14 days before the event. The event will be held rain or shine. No refunds due to weather or schedule conflicts.
 
In the event that the camp cannot be held, you would receive a full refund.
Serious medical emergencies (may require a doctor note) or death of immediate family members would receive full refund within 14 days of camp. All other emergencies subject to consideration.
