Scouts BSA Leader Specifics In Depth

Do you need training in the necessary outdoor skills?

Are you a new Adult Scout Leader in a leader position including Scoutmaster, Assistant Scoutmaster, Varsity Scout Leader, Committee Chair/Member, Charter organization Rep, or just registered adult?

We have training available for All Boy Scout and Varsity Scout Leaders

Boy Scout Leader Indoor Leader Specific Training

Two South Council Indoor sessions are being offered this Fall – see the Council Website for details.

Plan on being at one of them and the Introduction to Outdoor Leader Skills (offered as a separate course).

For Scoutmasters, Asst. Scoutmasters, Webelos Den Leaders, Varsity Coaches, Troop Committee Chairs and members, Charter Organization Reps and/or parents attending outings.
 
This training covers the basics for Scoutmasters and Assistant Scoutmasters. However, the course
is for all Adult Scout Leaders. Attending the Scoutmaster training will give committee members and parents a thorough understanding of the program side of Scouts BSA.

The Troop Leader Guide book, Volume 1 is included in the course fee.

To wear the "Trained" patch, Scouts BSA leaders MUST take "Youth Protection Training", "Hazardous Weather Training" (both of which are available online at my.Scouting.org), this course, and "Introduction to Outdoor Leadership Skills". Registration for the outdoor course is separate and is offered multiple times throughout the year.
