First Time Camper Orientation

Come join us for a day of fun and learning about the basics of camping! Participants will learn about all sorts of various skills relating to a successful campout. Know how to setup a camping stove? How about building a campfire or filtering water? No? You're a perfect candidate to attend the orientation. If you're an expert come support your friends and help them learn!

Choose to come up for the day OR stay and camp out for the night.

Location: 2 New York Ave., Los Gatos, CA 95030

When:

Saturday May 20th, 2023

9am-4pm

Camping available Saturday night.

Program Cost: $15 for Saturday, $25 for overnight

Required Items:

Clothing: Layered Clothing appropriate for being in the outdoors, try to avoid cotton and jeans.

Printed documents. WE WILL NOT HAVE ANY AVAILABLE ON-SITE SO PLEASE FILL OUT AND PRINT BEFOREHAND.

Annual Health and Medical Record parts A&B required.

Optional Items/Equipment:

Camping equipment required for those staying overnight.

Covid Policy

If you are feeling sick or exhibiting any covid-19 symptoms (Fever or chills; Cough; Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing; Fatigue; Muscle or body aches Headache; New loss of taste or smell; Sore throat; Congestion or runny nose; Nausea or vomiting; Diarrhea) please stay home.

We will be following California and Santa Cruz County policies deferring to whichever is more stringent.

*****If there are any cancellations, please notify the Camping Director in writing at least two weeks prior to the committed date. All refunds/transfers are subject to a 15% cancellation fee. There is no refund two weeks before the event. For registration, facility questions, information and confirmation email camping@svmbc.org . The event will be held rain or shine. No refunds due to weather.
