Commissioner Challenge Award

Units who qualify for the 2022 Commissioner Challenge are entitled to free cloth rank awards: Packs, Troops, and Crews can receive the following badges without charge from the Scout Shop for the next charter year (January 1, 2023 – December 31, 2023) if all the requirements are completed and submitted by December 2, 2022.

Cub Scouts – Lion, Tiger, Wolf, Bear, Webelos, and Arrow of Light cloth badge.

Scouts BSA – Scout, Tenderfoot, Second Class, First Class, Star, Life, and Eagle cloth badge, Eagle recognition kit, and Merit Badges

Venturing – Star, Life, and Eagle cloth badge, Eagle recognition kit, merit badges, Venturing, Pathfinder, Discovery, and Summit recognition kits.

1) 2022 Journey to Excellence Award: Our unit has or will meet by December 31, 2022 enough criteria to qualify for the Gold level in the Journey to Excellence Award program.

2) Turned in with on-time charter renewal: All completed and signed charter renewal forms and this Commissioner Challenge form have been turned in and accepted by the Scout office by the 2022 on-time charter renewal date. *

Finance

3) Friends of Scouting: Our unit met our 2022 Friends of Scouting goal.
(Minimum of 10% increase over prior year FOS total)

4) Product Sales Fundraising Goal: Our unit met our 2022 Popcorn & Scout-O-Rama fundraising goal.
(Minimum of $100 of popcorn product/registered scout – as of June 30, 2022)
(Minimum of 2 coupon card($20)/registered scout– as of the date of Scout-O-Rama)

Membership

5) District or Council Volunteer: At least one member of our unit provided significant leadership/service on the District Committee or Commissioner staff or to the Council this year.

6) Recruitment Event: Our Unit will hold at least one recruitment event during the year.

7) Scout-O-Rama: Our Unit had a booth at Scout-O-Rama.

8) Roundtable Attendance: At least one leader from our Unit attended at least eight of the monthly Roundtables in our District. Note that his doesn’t need to be the same person every month.
