SPAQI Certification Program Application

We are excited to announce a new program for SPAQI members designed to provide core knowledge essentials for those new to preoperative evaluation and management and/or those looking to update their knowledge base. This asynchronous program includes twenty educational sessions from fifteen experts who provide up to date, evidence based information regarding best practice in preoperative optimization and management. Along with your interest, we require a confirmation letter from a supervisor or chief confirming current or anticipated (for new hires) clinical practice in a preoperative clinical setting.The latter is to confirm active practice in a preoperative evaluation program. Please upload your letter below.

Accepted participants will be notified and asked to complete a pretest assessing baseline knowledge. Following completion of the video education series, a posttest will be provided. Those receiving a passing score of 80% or higher will be awarded a SPAQI certificate of completion. Once confirmed, certificates will be mailed to each participant.

The asynchronous, virtual learning opportunity will be available for a limited period of time. Participants will have access to video content for three months yet have 6 months to complete the final examination and achieve a minimum passing score.

Again, this program is offered to SPAQI members who are actively practicing clinicians (N.P., P.A, M.D., D.O.) in perioperative medicine. This includes preoperative optimization programs, preoperative evaluation clinics, and perioperative co-management services.

The cost for SPAQI members is commensurate with costs for the CME programing; $750 for advanced practice providers (P.A. s and N.Ps) and $950 for physicians ( M.D./D.O).
