Diverse perspectives improve the quality and impact of our science.
Systemic oppression and prejudice in the academy continue to create an exclusionary and toxic environment for many individuals in our community.
We are committed to identifying systemic oppression and prejudice in our field and to making the necessary changes to increase the representation of diverse nationalities, cultures, religions, ethnicities, races, genders, ages, sexual orientations, gender expressions, socioeconomic status, abilities and perspectives.
By combating institutional racism /oppression, enhancing support of individuals via training and resources, and amplifying the voices of underrepresented scientists, our goal is to improve the climate of ABS especially for underserved members and ultimately, better serve our community.
