Five Year Guarantee (Registrable) and Two Year Guarantee (Automatic)

Jetmaster Fires Ltd (“Jetmaster”) is so confident in the quality and design of its firebox units (”the fire” or “product”) that it provides an automatic two year guarantee (“two year guarantee”) and a registrable five year guarantee (“guarantee”) on all its inset and freestanding stoves against defects in materials and workmanship. When a claim is honoured, Jetmaster, at its discretion, will replace or repair the faulty product with the distributor. Jetmaster reserves the right to supply similar but not identical goods.

Jetmaster will honour claims on the guarantee where…

  1. The terms and conditions set out below have been complied with.
  2. The claim is made by the present product owner (“owner” or “customer”).
  3. The claim is made during the guarantee’s stated term, calculated from the original purchase date.
  4. Evidence of the product’s original purchase date is provided.
  5. The product was successfully registered with Jetmaster within one month of the date of purchase.
  6. The defect is notified in writing, via email or letter, to the distributor.

Terms and Conditions

  1. The fire/product has been purchased from an appointed distributor of Jetmaster.
  2. The appointed distributor of Jetmaster has first investigated the complaint.
  3. The installation and operation of the fire is, in the opinion of the appointed distributor and of Jetmaster in accordance with those Jetmaster “installation and operating instructions” current at the time of purchase.
  4. Only Jetmaster authorised accessories are and have been used and coal or coal-based bituminous, smokeless fuels and wood are burned in accordance with the Jetmaster “installation and operating instructions” at all times.
  5. No modifications have been made to the fire and accessories without written authority from Jetmaster.
  6. The fire has been fitted by a HETAS registered installer or approved by a local building control officer.
  7. The fire has been regularly serviced by a HETAS registered installer.
  8. Jetmaster will not be responsible for defective operation of the appliance resulting from:
    1. Down drafts or spillage caused by environmental conditions such as nearby trees, buildings, rooftops, hills or mountains or excessive chimney draft.
    2. Inadequate ventilation or negative air pressure caused by mechanical systems such as fans, cookers, extraction hoods, clothes dryers etc.
    3. Installations operating in atmospheres contaminated by damaging chemicals.
    4. Installations that are subjected to prolonged periods of dampness or condensation.
    5. Any damage to the combustion chamber, heat exchanger or other components due to water or weather damage which is the result of but not limited to, improper chimney/venting installation.
    6. Parts fitted to the appliance other than supplied by Jetmaster.
  9. This guarantee is limited to the repair or replacement of parts found to be defective in material or workmanship after confirmation of the defect by Jetmaster, provided that such parts have been subjected to normal conditions of operation.
  10. Jetmaster’s liability shall be limited to the cost of the unexpired portion of the guarantee period.
  11. This guarantee is valid from the date of the original purchase.
  12. All other guarantees expressed or implied with respect to the product, it’s components and accessories or any obligations/liabilities on the part of Jetmaster are hereby expressly excluded.
  13. Jetmaster will not be responsible for any incident, indirect or consequential damages, except as provided by law.
  14. Jetmaster neither assumes, nor authorises any third party to assume, on it’s behalf, any other liabilities with respect to the sale of this Jetmaster fire.

Exclusions
The two year guarantee and five year guarentee do not cover:

  • Glass door, cast grate, tertiary air tubes, baffle boards, air control assembly and other accessories.
  • Rust or paintwork.
  • Cosmetic blemishes to polished metal surfaces (after one year).
  • Routine maintenance/service or parts that need to be replaced on a routine basis.
  • Fireplace components pertaining to the installation or costs associated with replacement components, parts and installation.
  • Any alteration, wilful abuse, accidental damage or misuse of the product.

Additionally, the five year guarantee does not cover:

  • Basket, base and inner boards, ashpan and log retainer.

A selection of parts, spares and accessories can be purchased from Jetmaster or through any appointed stockist.

Statutory Rights
This guarantee is additional to and does not in any way affect the statutory rights of the buyer.

Complaints
When making a complaint under either of these guarantees, the owner should not contact Jetmaster directly unless they are unable to contact the appointed distributor.

Jetmaster Fires Ltd (“Jetmaster”) is so confident in the quality and design of its firebox units (”the fire” or “product”) that it provides an automatic two year guarantee and a registrable ten year guarantee (“guarantee”) on all solid fuel open fires (Standard, Low, Universal, Extra and Double Sided models) and barbecues (Inset and Freestanding models) against defects in materials and workmanship. When a claim is honoured, Jetmaster, at its discretion, will replace or repair the faulty product with the distributor. Jetmaster reserves the right to supply similar but not identical goods.

  • Fireplace components pertaining to the installation or costs associated with replacement components, parts and installation.

    2. Inadequate ventilation or negative air pressure caused by mechanical systems such as fans, cookers, extraction hoods, clothes dryers, etc.
    3. Installations operating in atmospheres contaminated by damaging chemicals.
    4. Installations that are subjected to prolonged periods of dampness or condensation.
    5. Any damage to the combustion chamber, heat exchanger or other components due to water or weather damage which is the result of but not limited to, improper chimney/venting installation.
    6. Parts (including ceramic parts) fitted to the appliance other than supplied by Jetmaster.
  9. This guarantee is limited to the repair or replacement of parts found to be defective in material or workmanship after confirmation of the defect by Jetmaster, provided that such parts have been subjected to normal conditions of operation.
  10. Jetmaster’s liability shall be limited to the cost of the unexpired portion of the guarantee period.
  11. This guarantee is valid from the date of the original purchase.
  12. All other guarantees expressed or implied with respect to the product, it’s components and accessories or any obligations/liabilities on the part of Jetmaster are hereby expressly excluded.
