Welcome to the 2023-24 academic year at JLS Middle School! The JLS PTA (Parent Teacher Association) extends a very warm welcome to you and your entire family. We know there is a lot of information coming to you at the beginning of the school year, and we want to help you find answers to your questions.

Please go through all sections of these Back-to-School forms to make sure you receive all of the necessary information to start the new school year. You can always find a link back to these forms via the JLS PTA website.

In addition to the JLS PTA Back-To-School forms you are reading now, please make sure you've read the following:

Principal's Welcome Letter, sent via ParentSquare; please check your email for a letter from Mr. Grierson, which contains links, dates, and important information not found anywhere else.

JLS Calendar, maintained on the JLS website; please note the start of school events, such as Principal's Welcome Coffee, Welcome Back Dinner, Back to School Night and Picture Day.

The PTA uses ParentSquare for all communication, including announcements, volunteer sign ups and weekly eNews that includes school, district and community opportunities. You are automatically enrolled in ParentSquare as a parent or guardian of a student in the district, and you will receive all communications to your email. The City of Palo Alto runs the after school sports programs at all 3 Palo Alto Middle School. Please pay close attention to the registration information and details found in this document. Please note that registration for Fall Sports offerings starts on August 16 at 8:30am. For registration, parents need to create an "Enjoy!" account here.
