Join the California Association of Food Banks (CAFB) in our campaign to secure $60M in state funding for CalFood! We are already 90+ organizations strong - help us to grow our coalition!
CalFood is a critical state funding program that allows food banks to purchase California grown and produced foods to distribute in their communities. It is an essential program that supports our 41-member food bank network in serving over 6 million people experiencing hunger every month, in addition to supporting our local agricultural and food economy.
The issue: In July 2025, the CalFood program will drop back down to $8M in annual funding, from the current average annual funding level of $62.7M over the last 3 years. This will be devastating for food banks and the communities they serve. We are asking the state to sustain funding at $60M annually starting with the 2025-26 State Budget.
