Graduate Education in Biomedical Sciences

B.S./M.S. in Neuroscience
APPLICATION

This competitive dual degree program is a five-year program that culminates in a year of laboratory based master's level research following completion of the bachelor's degree. Undergraduate students will take a graduate level neuroscience curriculum in addition to their requirements for their undergraduate degree. The graduate level courses for a master's degree in neuroscience will start in their  third year. After the fourth year, and completion of requirements for their undergraduate degree, students will receive their undergraduate degree. The fifth year of the program will be dedicated to laboratory research in neuroscience, with some additional coursework. Completion of requirements will include a proposal and written thesis on their research. A master's degree in neuroscience will be granted by Morehouse School of Medicine (MSM) after successful completion of all the requirements for the degree (usually upon completion of the fifth year).

The enrolled student must remain in good standing at their undergraduate institution and maintain a B average (3.0) or better in graduate level courses at MSM in order to remain in "good standing" in the program.
