Barnard Career Development "Suitable Suits" Program Agreement

To borrow a suit from BCD, please read and complete this important agreement. Please note that suits must be returned dry cleaned with the cleaning receipt by the date specified below, no later than 7 days from the date borrowed.

You MUST fill this form out before borrowing a suit from our office. Suits will be held for 3 business days from the date of requested pick-up. Failure to retrieve a suit will result in a cancellation of your request.

Return Policy

A borrowed suit must be returned by 5:00pm one week after checkout. If a suit is not returned by the due date, the student will incur a fine of $10/day and will lose all Handshake privileges (including ability to apply for positions and interview on campus) until the suit is returned.
Suits must be returned dry cleaned (even if not worn) with the dry cleaning receipt on or before the date specified above, or student will be charged $20.
Fines may be paid by cash or check only. Failure to pay fines promptly may result in a hold on the student’s Bursar account.

We expect that the suit will be returned in the same condition as when borrowed, free of odors, stains, and damage. No sewing, ironing, pins, or tape.

I understand that it is a privilege to borrow a suit from BCD’s “Suitable Suits” program. I have received a copy of the rules for borrowing a suit. I agree to follow the policies stated above and understand that failure to do so will result in my being charged a fine or replacement fee. I agree to treat the clothing I borrow carefully and acknowledge that not doing so may restrict my ability to borrow a suit in the future. Violation of this contract is subject to the guidelines of Dean’s discipline. *
