Confronting Microaggressions in Professional Spaces

Have you ever felt your identity threatened by the kind of microaggressions and everyday slights that can emerge and be seemingly accepted in a professional environment? Are you looking for the tools to create a safer workspace for people of all identities? In this workshop, we will review how to best address microaggressions when they emerge, what kind of rights you can assert as an employee, as well as explore potential pathways of changing the culture in your workplace. Come work with NYCCEP, Student Life, and the Barnard Civil Liberties Club to learn how you can reshape your professional environment to ensure greater inclusiveness and equity.
