NOMINATION GUIDELINES

Who can nominate?

Anyone employed by, or associated in some way with the meetings, hospitality and events industry can submit a nomination for the miaList. You may be from a venue, supplier or agency and you do not need to be a member of the mia to take part. The awards are free to enter and you can nominate as many teams as you like.

Who to nominate?

The Team Award is for teamwork that has had a positive impact on the team’s business.  This award will be shortlisted by the judges and then subject to a public, online vote.

Providing evidence

To help the team of independent judges decide who to shortlist, you could support your nomination with evidence, which could highlight how the team meets the judging criteria detailed in this guide.

Evidence could include customer, colleague or management feedback, documentary evidence (e.g. BDRC results, sales figures % etc.), storyboards and case studies.

 

The judging process

All nomination forms will be reviewed by our panel of judges and the shortlisted teams will be subject to an online, public vote. The recipients of the Team Award will be announced at the miaList event on Friday 2nd November 2018 at The Tower Hotel, London.

 

Judging criteria

The judges will be looking for evidence that demonstrates how the teams meet some, or all, of the following criteria:

·   Delivers consistent results

·    Go above and beyond the call of duty

·   Seek ways to improve operations e.g. cost saving methods or driving business performance or standards

·  Are a strong, united team who work well together

·  Act as a source of support, encouragement or inspiration to those around them

·  Show initiative and has a flair for innovation, new ideas and driving something new

 

Evidence may include:

·         Storyboards

·         Feedback (e.g. reviews, appraisals, customer or colleague feedback)

·         Evidence to show business impact (e.g. survey results, sales figures (%), press releases etc.)

·         Details of any relevant community or charity involvement, including testimonies

·         Details of how the individual has contributed to company achieving external recognition

 

Entries should be concise, relevant and well evidenced. The judges will base their decisions only on the evidence presented during the judging process.

 

 

Deadline for entries: 5pm on Friday 7th September 2018
