Recommendations

To supplement your written application, you will need to provide a minimum of two recommendations from teachers who can speak about your academic potential and how you could contribute to this program. Identify two teachers that meet the following criteria:

Teacher #1 - A teacher you have a course with currently or had a course with in the previous year who can speak to your academic potential with respect to this program.
Teacher #2 - A current classroom teacher who can speak to your academic potential with respect to this program.

You may also identify a third teacher, mentor or coach who can provide a recommendation on your behalf. This can be any adult who knows you well in an academic or extracurricular capacity (e.g. coach, dance instructor, counselor, etc.) who can speak to your potential and contribution if selected for this program.

Applications that demonstrate thought, reflection, and articulate why the applicant is a good candidate for this program are most likely to be successful. Applicants must also be able to demonstrate a strong interest in this work and share examples of self-direction, maturity, and ability to work well with others or contribute to a team. This will be determined from review of the student responses below as well as teacher recommendations and interviews.
