SCS Orchestra Ensemble ~ Elementary Campus

Thank you for expressing an interest in SCS Orchestra! I am excited to have your child(ren) join our program. Please read through the following information for a details you need to know before registering.

You are responsible to provide your own instrument. Please make sure it is the correct size for your child. If you are renting, I recommend Long & McQuade (Surrey). It is crucial that you contact them as soon as possible to ensure they have an instrument for you. SCS will provide all other materials, such as music.

The Beginner Lunchtime Orchestra Ensemble is for students in Grade 4-7, who would be new to their chosen instrument.
Lessons will be on Wednesdays 12:30-1pm in school, room to be decided.

The Intermediate Afterschool Orchestra Ensemble is for students in Grade 4-7 who have had at least 1-2 years of experience playing their choosen instrument.
Lessons will be in school on Wednesdays afterschool 3 – 3:45pm for the whole orchestra.
And alternating weeks sectional specific lesson time 3:45pm – 4:15pm
e.g. Woodwind,Brass & Percussion stay till 4:15pm one week and the next week Strings stay till 4:15pm.

For best success, it is important that your child commits to keeping regular attendance for rehearsals. Our first rehearsal is on Wednesday, September 11, 2024.
