NYDC Workshops 2020 - Registration of Interest

National Youth Dance Company delivers free workshops around the country every year to meet hundreds of wonderful dancers whilst giving a taste of the NYDC experience. Normally, these workshops happen between the months of May and June and take place at dance venues, schools, colleges, community centres and village halls.

This year will be different however, as we work together with the global community to ease the impacts of the coronavirus pandemic. NYDC is rescheduling the workshops for October 2020 and for now would like to gather your interest, to make sure that you are the first to know once these workshops have been confirmed.

Below is an expression of interest form, and not the application form. All we kindly ask is that you complete your details and mark the town or city that is closest to you or tell us where you would like to have a workshop delivered if it is not listed below. We'd love to hear from you! Dancers from all backgrounds, styles and abilities are welcome. It will not be possible to deliver workshops in all towns and cities of the country but we will hold as many workshops as we possibly can and travel bursaries will also be available.

In due course, a link to the application form will be e-mailed to everyone who signs up below.

Please note, due to the workshops taking place later than planned, the 2020-21 schedule for NYDC will be altered. Our current plan is that the workshops will take place in October, with the audition for cohort 9 of NYDC on Saturday 14th November at Sadler's Wells. The new company will then first come together in December 2020, with further residencies in February and April 2021.

The National Youth Dance Company (NYDC) aims to create and perform innovative and influential dance, drawing together the brightest young talent from across the country. Through an ever growing network of partners, young people can gain access to NYDC by attending workshops and performances in a venue near to them.

The NYDC Workshops are an opportunity for young dancers to gain an insight into the company and include a technique class, creative workshop and information on dance training, careers and being part of NYDC.
