Pocono Mountains United Way's mission is to engage and mobilize resources to improve lives through accelerated community change. Each year, we utilize a volunteer-led process to make strategic investments in key programs serving the human service needs of residents of Monroe County. Individuals from diverse backgrounds and work experiences volunteer each year for PMUW's Resource Investment Process and we welcome college students all the way up to retirees!

Our process involves two types of reviews, Finance Panel and Program Panel.

The Finance Panel will meet in late February to review the financial sections of the applications. Finance Panel Volunteers should have a financial background and be comfortable reviewing financial documents. Program Panel volunteers will review the qualitative aspects of the applications in March.
