CLASS DESCRIPTIONS AND FACULTY

CLASS DESCRIPTIONS

IceFlow is a gentle, yoga-inspired edge class designed specifically for skaters of all skill levels from beginner to professional. Connect leaning, twisting, and stretching movements with the breath as we flow with each other across the ice to music.

FitSkate is one of U.S. Figure Skating's newest on-ice classes. Fit Skate was first piloted at the 2021 U.S. Adult Championships in an effort to share a new way for skaters to be active in an on-ice group class setting. Geared toward adult skaters of all skill levels and ages, Fit Skate is an on-ice boutique fitness program conducted in 30-, 45- or 60-minute classes. Participants enjoy a group setting, where they can work on their agility, stamina, strength, and cardio through various on-ice exercises.

Skate & Sculpt is a strength and conditioning class that is geared towards skaters ages 18 and up who have tested Juvenile or above or are comfortable skating forwards and backward while maintaining control on one foot. There is nothing better than an old-school power skating class set to music, with a focus on positivity and reconnecting with your blades on the ice. We work on skating skills and exercises that Ashley learned while training with world-renowned coaches in the sport, and offer flexibility and modifications based on skill level.

FACULTY

Elin Schran is the founder of Joy Skate Productions and is passionate about the joy of skating being accessible to all! She strives to bring specially designed camps and clinics to your rinks that accommodate skaters of every age and ability, including adaptive/therapeutic skating clinics.

Elin is also the innovator of IceFlow (a yoga-inspired skating class). She is a choreographer and performer with experience in many shows including Ice Capades, and taught for five years at Dorothy Hamill’s Fantasy Skating Camp.

Pippa Teague
Pippa has been coaching and skating in professional shows since 2000. She has performed in various European shows and Disney on Ice and was part of the skating cast of the 2016 opening ceremony for the World Figure Skating Championships. Since moving to Boston, Pippa has had involvement with Theater On Ice, coaching the Novice team to a silver medal in 2018 and a pewter medal in 2016.  She also skated on the Senior team for 5 seasons. Pippa holds a PSA rating in moves in the field (certified) and group (registered) and is a certified personal trainer.

Ashley Wagner is the creator of Skate and Sculpt and a 3-time U.S. National Champion, World silver medalist, and Olympic bronze medalist in the team event.
