Application Process Guide
Completion of application:
- The process for the application will only begin once all required documents have already been completed and validated by our team.
Deadlines for the application:
- Applications must be submitted at least 8 weeks before the requested training start.
- Applications submitted on short notice of the start date will not be accepted for review.
Duration of program:
- The maximum duration for a short term clinical placement at CCAD is 4 weeks. Applications with requests for less than 4 weeks duration will not be accepted for review.
Training start date:
- Preferred start dates will always be subject to the approval of your specialty of interest.
- Training start date should always be a Monday.
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates who are eligible to apply to CCAD’s clinical elective program include:
- Students enrolled in a Health Professional School
- Interns enrolled in an Internship Program
- Residents or Fellows enrolled in a Residency or Fellowship Program
General Application Requirements
All applicants will need to submit and upload the following documents. Must be in PDF Format and must only be in 1 attachment (must be in PDF format and compressed in 1 file). Zipped files will not be accepted.
- Completed online application
- Non-refundable Application Fee of AED 200.00 is applicable(CCAD Caregiver dependents are exempted).
- Passport Copy (clear and colored copy)
- Residency Visa Copy for Non-UAE Nationals (UAE Residents only)
- Emirates ID (front & back) (UAE Residents only)
- 1 Photo (Passport Size)
- Health Insurance Copy
- Occupational Health requirements* (see below)
Supplemental Application Requirements
All applicants will need to submit and upload the following documents. Must be in PDF Format and must only be in 1 attachment. Zipped files will not be accepted.
- CV
- Letter of Intent (cover letter)
- 2 Letters of Recommendation (from the chairman/section head or direct supervisor) (must be in PDF format compressed in 1 file)
- Letter of endorsement from Dean / Program Director (should include learning objectives)
Occupational Health Requirements*
Once you have submitted your application, if selected to attend as an elective, you will be required to provide a Health Clearance Agreement. This will be sent to you in an email from the CCAD Academic Office.
The Health Clearance Agreement must be completed by yourself and a physician witness attesting to your immunization history. Trainees cannot start the program without submission of a completed Health Clearance Agreement Form. Clinical elective applicants cannot start the program without completion of occupational health.

- All INCOMPLETE and submitted applications will be automatically deleted from our system. Please take time in filling up the form and uploading the required documents.
- Once Trainees are officially accepted in the program you are required to pay Program Fee: Local Applicants - AED 2,000.00 (+ 5% vat) per month of training; International Applicants - $680.50 (+5% vat) per month of training. - Mode of payment details will be shared upon acceptance(CCAD Caregiver dependents are exempted).
- Trainees are not employed by CCAD.
- Trainees DO NOT receive any financial support, worker's compensation, insurance coverage, or other compensation from CCAD.
- Trainees must follow all bylaws, procedures, and policies implemented at CCAD.
- Trainees must follow patient confidentiality as outlined in policy “Confidentiality of Patient Health Information” (FIN_POL_110).
- Trainees are asked to bring their own white coats and comply with professional dress code which is business attire.
- Trainees will not receive any academic credit that may constitute as added value to licensure or board certification.
- In any case that you will not be able to complete your program, the Academic Office will not issue a Certificate.
- CCAD may terminate a clinical placement at its own discretion without any appeal process granted to the trainee.
