RE-ENTRY STUDENTS - COMPLETING A DEGREED PROGRAM
Statistics project that 75 percent of future positions are expected to require at least some type of certification or licensure, and professions that require a bachelor’s degree are projected to grow nearly twice as fast as the national average, making a college degree a good investment. The Department of Education recently reported that 13 percent of students now enrolled in college were single parents, up from 7.6 percent in 1993. This workshop provides information on how to prepare for a successful experience as a re-entry student.
EDUCATION OPPORTUNITIES FOR VETERANS
This workshop provides information and resources about education and training programs in and related to the United States Military, including college programs, commissioning programs, technical schools and advanced training, military boarding schools, and related military training programs and procedures.
CAREER AND VOCATIONAL TRAINING OPPORTUNITIES
Vocational Education — also known as Career and Technical Education (CTE), Vocational Education and Training (VET), or Voc Ed — prepares people for careers that are based in manual or practical activities. Vocational Education is traditionally non-academic and directly related to a trade, occupation, or vocation in which the learner participates. This workshop will help you to learn more about trades and career training.
