Basic Adult Leader Outdoor Orientation (BALOO)

If your pack is interested in holding an overnight event, completion of BALOO by a pack/den leader is required to obtain Local Tour Plan approval. They must assist with the event planning and must also attend the event. An additional requirement is that Hazardous Weather course (online) is completed by an attending pack/den leader. What is BALOO? BALOO stands for Basic Adult Leader Outdoor Orientation and is an eight-hour course on planning and implementing a fun and safe Cub Scout camping experience. BALOO training includes an introduction to outdoor camping skills as well as important BSA rules and policies to be followed on any Cub Scout campout. Who should attend BALOO? This training is for anyone, leaders and parents, who will be involved in planning or implementing a pack-level Cub Scout overnight event that includes camping. Registration $15, $20 after May 1. NO WALK-INS.
