Venturing Leader Training provides the basic information needed to successfully operate a crew. This information includes the purpose and mission of Venturing; characteristics of Venturing-aged youth; organization and leadership of the crew; and program planning and officer training. This course is open to adult and youth crew members.

To earn the “Trained” patch, Venturing Leaders must be current with Venturing Youth Protection Training* (standard youth protection no longer meets this requirement), and this course. Courses with an asterisk (*) are available on-line at http://olc.scouting.org/ You will need your BSA ID # located on your BSA registration card.
