Dogs can exhibit signs of stress when they are in unfamiliar surroundings. Please describe what steps you will take to ease your foster dog's transition into your home. If you have pets, please also mention how you will introduce your foster pug to your resident pets.
MAPR accepts dogs regardless of health or behavioral probems. As a result, sometimes our dogs have special needs that must be accomodated in the foster home. Please describe the level of need you can accomodate in your home.
I can accomodate minor special needs (i.e. daily medications, eye drops, basic obedience/housetraining, etc).
I can accomodate moderate special needs (i.e. dogs with hearing/vision problems, unhousebroken dogs, separation anxiety, etc).
I can accomodate higher levels of need (dogs with paralysis or major medical needs, dogs with established fear/anxiety or other behavor issues)
We try to match surrendered dogs with foster homes that are best able to meet their needs. Please provide any additional information that you think would be helpful to us in making a foster placement in your home.
