You are officially invited to take part in the 2012 season of the Manitou Hockey League! Established in 1999, the M.H.L. is a staff ball hockey league traditionally involving over 95% of Manitou Staff. In other words, almost everyone plays M.H.L.! The league has 12 teams with games played during O & A (between 5th period and dinner) and sometimes at night. That means being involved in about 1 game each week.
THERE IS NO SKILL REQUIREMENT IN THE M.H.L. In fact several of our captains are quite laughable. All you need is a desire to have fun and compete with fellow staff. We can teach you the hockey part! We do warn however, that becoming an M.H.L. player can make you a camp celebrity with games being broadcast live on the MOOSE 92.3 FM, regular updates in the MOSQUITO newspaper, and lots of trash talk around camp.
We hope that you will take part in this season of M.H.L. action. Please fill in the below information as it will help our captains during the 2012 draft.
NOTE: It is mandatory that all players wear protective eyewear for M.H.L. games. While Manitou has goggles for the hockey program, many staff prefer to bring their own.
